Welcome 2012

"How did you spend New Year's Eve?"
"I partied with some friends till the sun came up"
"I got so wasted, I don't even remember my night!"
"I watched a movie on TV with the family"

Wait, what?

Since when did spending time with your family, and having a quiet dinner become the un-cool way of bringing in the new year? I did it this year for the first time (mainly on account of my viral fever), and I actually quite enjoyed it.

Ok, I'm lying. I feel like I'm young and full of energy! I want to go out and dance, drink a little (or a lot) and scream "Happeeee New Yeaaaaar!!!" at 12 with all my other full-of-youthful-energy friends!

I got unlucky this year because of the fever. This is the first and last year of my life I'm spending my new year's eve in a such a lame way. Honestly. I don't judge the other 20-somethings who like to sit at home and watch one of the many blockbusters playing on TV on the 31st of December. But I'm just not one of those. My new year hasn't even begun yet, because I didn't get to scream it in. Who's up for a 1st New Year's Weekend Party?
